Duties
and Responsibilities: Electrocardiogram
technicians work in hospitals, laboratories, or cardiologists’ offices. They
perform and ECG by attaching electrodes to a patient and then turning on an ECG
machine to trace electrical impulses from the heart. They use these readings to
analyze the patient’s heart conditions. ECG technicians also work on stress
test’s that involves the patient to be hooked up to an ECG monitor.
Salary:
$25,998-$44,062
Education:
You must get an associate’s degree which is a 4-year program, and
another 2- years of another program of class studies and job-training in a medical
facility.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I don’t think I would like
to be one because I’m not really interested in the sound base of the medical
field. I prefer to do something else rather than this but if someone could
change my mind then…maybe.
