Duties
and Responsibilities: Environmental health
specialist work for private companies, they are responsible for keeping the
firm's facilities up to government standards. Their main responsibility is to
determine the existence of possible health hazards and to take steps to correct
them. As part of their job they inspect the environment, they may collect
samples of soil, air, water, and possible pollutants from the places they
inspect. As a result they test the items they collected and determine whether
or not it is safe or dangerous to the environment and if they find out that it
is affecting the environment they will set up a plan to get rid of it and trace
it to see if it’s only one place or many others.
Salary:
$37,300-$57,551
Education:
For a position in the environmental health specialist is to at least
have a bachelor’s degree. You must also attend training and get a certificate
for this medical area.

Do
you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I not sure if I would like
to work as one because it seems cool to me that you can learn more about your
environment but what if you come across something dangerous and it might be
toxic and you wouldn’t know that’s what worries me.
