Duties and Responsibilities: Veterinarians diagnose or treat sick or injured animals by providing medical care like surgery, prescribing medications, curing wounds, and setting/curing broken bones. There are many types of veterinarians like companion animal veterinarians that treat common animals like dogs and cats. There are Equine veterinarians that treat animals like horses. Livestock veterinarians that treat farm animals like cows, pigs, and sheep. Lastly, the research veterinarian that work on laboratories and surgery on an animal.

Salary:  $96,140- $149,530

Education: You must have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, an education program that takes 4 years to complete, and 2 years if learning courses/clinical practice. 

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I don’t think I would like to be one because I don’t do good with animals and sometimes animals can’t be good. Especially because your going to be treating sick/injured animals. I prefer the medical career with people.
